About Me

My mission is to seek God, to love Him, and to apply His Truth in all ways.

My desire is to help people, by the grace of God, who are struggling with emotional or spiritual pain, or conflict within themselves or with others.

My counseling practice is Christ-centered with a focus on spiritual formation. I also utilize cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, communication, and family systems theories.

I am a wife, mother, and grandmother of seven blessings.

My hobbies are playing my harp and my flute, photography, reading, being in nature, and playing with my seven grandchildren.

Formal Education and Training

I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Sonoma State University, California (1975). Major course work included theories of psychotherapy. I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (#MFC15271) since 1980. I am certified in William Glasser's Choice Theory, and have trained with Virginia Satir in Family Systems Theory and Insoo Berg in Solution Focused Theory.

As a licensee of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, I abide by its Code of Ethics. To maintain my license, I am required to participate in annual continuing education, taking classes dealing with subjects relevant to the counseling profession.
